Boris Becker and his fiancee show off their matching hair colour

With her head nestled into his neck, Alessandra Meyer-Wolden looked like any young woman in love.

And sporting a massive engagement ring, the 24-year-old wrapped a protective arm around fiance Boris Becker, clearly claiming her territory.

The loved up pair, who have been looking strikingly similar of late with matching blonde locks, enjoyed a spot of lunch at Bar Pittit restaurant.

After filling up on food, the pair spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around the streets of New York hugging and holding hands.

The couple, who became engaged earlier this month are planning their nuptials in New York but are remaining tight-lipped about the details surrounding their big day.

Boris popped the question on a holiday on the Italian island of Sardinia earlier this month.

But their relationship only came to light days earlier, after paparazzi caught them on the Spanish island of Formentera and later on Sardinia.

The former tennis star and his bride couldn't keep their hands off each other after enjoying lunch

Former tennis star Becker, 40, have known each other for many years - she is the daughter of Boris' late manager Axel Meyer-Wolden.

And despite the age gap, the couple seem more than happy to prove their love is a passing fad with Ms Meyer-Wolden saying the relationship 'is completely serious'.

The tennis star married Barbara Feltus in 1993 and the couple had two sons, Noah Gabriel, 14, and Elias Balthasar, 8, before the marriage ended acrimoniously in 2001.

Becker's divorce from Barbara reportedly cost him £10 million.

And in 2000, he was forced to admit he fathered a daughter with Angela Ermakova during a brief affair in a broom cupboard.
