Fern Britton's bottom-flashing white dress reveals her cheeky side

Fern Britton has endured quite a bit of unwelcome exposure since it was revealed that she opted for gastric band surgery.

And now the 50-year-old television presenter has again revealed rather more than she would have liked as her white mini dress exposed her cheeky side as she bent over to root through her handbag.

The This Morning presenter had stepped out with her daughter Grace, 11, for lunch near her home in Berkshire.

But it looks as if she failed to check the exact length of her hemline before heading into town for a meal.

Make-up free, and wearing a casual white dress and ethnic-style sandals, Fern's summer wardrobe let her down in a big way as she unwittingly revealed her rear end.

Luckily for Fern, her dramatic weight-loss in recent months meant that there was a lot less of her to see, so her blushes were spared. Somewhat.

The fallout from the gastric band controversy saw the popular presenter, known for her infectious giggling, have her pay frozen at £700,000, the same amount as in her contract for the previous year.

It was claimed the presenter had been pushing for a 10 per cent pay rise.

ITV bosses are also said to have blocked her plans for a commercial sideline in plus-size clothing.

Miss Britton's bubbly personality and voluptuous figure have made her one of daytime TV's most popular presenters.

She recently attracted widespread admiration after dropping from a size 22 to a 16 and shedding five stone after a diet and exercise regime.

But in June this year it emerged that she had also had gastric banding surgery.

She missed four editions of This Morning with 'nervous exhaustion' amid the controversy.

Co-host Phillip Schofield is believed to have recently secured a £1.6million deal to stay on This Morning and other ITV shows until 2010.
