Tumbling Tara: Socialite falls into a taxi after drunken dash

Socialite Tara Palmer Tomkinson was in a rush to get home last night after she sprinted in heels from a London club and fell into a taxi.

The some-time TV presenter, 36, joined a host of celebrities to celebrate her business partner and rumoured love interest Duncan James's 30th birthday party.

After partying with stars such as Jamie Oliver and Myleene Klass at the bash, it appeared the stumbling society girl couldn't wait to leave The Pigalle cabaret club in Piccadilly.

Earlier that evening, a sleek Tara showed off her new bobbed hair-style and flashed her slender legs in a 1920s-style fringed mini-skirt and sky-high stiletto heels as she entered the club.

However, after a few hours partying, Tara was desperate to get home and impressed onlookers as she ran in four-inch heels to hail a passing black cab.

Looking slightly worse for wear and tired from her running jaunt, Tara flopped into the taxi and spread herself along the back seat.

Tara has been friends with former Blue singer Duncan for several years and the pair recently holidayed together in Klosters, Switzerland, where the socialite owns a ski chalet.

Despite frequent reports of a romance between the pair, they have always insisted they are just friends, with Tara once describing the Dancing On Ice star as her "spa partner".

The pair also co-own a television production company Meltdown TV together.

Joining Tara at Duncan's bash were Bonnie Langford, Caprice Bourret, Ruthie Henshall, Gareth Gates, Dani Behr, Michelle Heaton, Kyran Bracken, Clare Buckfield and Duncan's ex-Blue bandmates Simon Webbe and Antony Costa.
