The moment Lily Allen discovered her new BMW had been smashed by vandals

Lily Allen has had a run of terrible luck this year, and last night was no exception.

After partying at London's Groucho bar last night, the singer emerged only to discover a window on her brand new BMW had been smashed in by vandals.

The Smile star eventually caught a cab home with her friends offering their support.

She'd brought the luxury vehicle just weeks ago in a bid to cheer herself up after admitting she'd been feeling "miserable" following her miscarriage and break-up with Chemical Brothers front man Ed Simons two weeks later.

The 22-year-old recently admitted she has endured a "rocky" start to the year.

She has since faced criticism over her BBC3 show Lily Allen And Friends, which only attracted a disappointing 255,000 viewers on its debut.

She was also dumped as the face of lingerie firm Agent Provocateur after a disagreement between the company's bosses over her pictures, according to reports at the time.

She was said to be "gutted" after putting herself through gruelling gym sessions to get in shape for the ads.

In an interview with Glamour magazine, Lily said she was bored by the social scene in London, because too many people are taking drugs instead of choosing a clean lifestyle.

Lily said: "I've been sad and quite lonely recently because, if you're young, living in London and working in this industry, unless you drink and take a lot of drugs, there's not much to do.

"I don't want to do that so I've been sitting on my own, watching TV. It's boring to go out if everyone else is taking cacaine."

Lily claimed London comprises a lot of "middle-class kids who are now heroin and crack addicts."

She added: "There is no way I was ever going to do that."
