Tommy Lee quits Motley Crue following brawl at MTV awards

Tommy Lee has quit his band Motley Crue, the latest episode in a humiliating week.

He was given a public beating at the MTV awards by Kid Rock, another musician - who married Pamela Anderson after she and Lee divorced - for letting Anderson sit on his lap.

Lee had to apologise to singer Alicia Keys for the scuffle, which took place while she was singing. And Kid Rock may face charges following enquiries by the police into the incident.

Rock spoke out on a radio programme to explain his side of the story.

Rock, 36, said of the strained relationship between him and Lee: "It's been going on for five years.

He told the radio hosts: "Last contact I had with him was when me and Pam were going through our divorce.

"He picked up her Blackberry and started e-mailing me a lot of horrendous things. It was extremely disrespectful."

"I did what any man would do, any man across the country, across the world would do."

The fight broke out between Pamela Anderson's former husbands at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this week.

MTV VJ Sway said during the post-show that he saw Kid Rock walk up to the Motley Crue drummer, who was sitting next to Diddy, and "deck him."

Earlier that night the Baywatch star was spotted cosying up to Lee, who is the father of her two sons.

The incident was confirmed by Palms Hotel and Casino public relations representative Larry Fink.

Another eyewitness, rap producer Rich Nice, said although Kid Rock threw the only blows that landed - a backhand slap and a punch - Tommy Lee was the instigator.

Nice said:"It looked like Tommy Lee initiated it because Kid Rock was ignoring him," said Nice, who was two tables away. "And Tommy Lee kind of antagonized him. And then when Tommy Lee stood up, it looked a little weird, like 'Yo, what?"'

"When Tommy stands up is when Kid hit him the first time with a backhand," Nice continued.

"And then Tommy Lee looked like he was trying to get at him to aggressively retaliate and then Kid Rock hits Tommy Lee again - bong. And then security grabs Tommy Lee in a headlock and pulls him off."

It's notable that security guards let Kid Rock stay for the rest of the show while Lee was dragged out.

The incident inspired plenty of mock rebukes from the hip-hoppers in attendance.

"They say it's only rappers," said Sway. "I told you rockers fight too."

Diddy noted: "It's not just the hip-hop artists that sometimes have a problem."

Jennifer Lopez wins ban on ex husband's

A California judge has formally ordered the former husband of Jennifer Lopez to pay the Hollywood star more than £270,000 for trying to publish a tell-all book about their relationship.

According to media accounts, the unpublished book alleges that Lopez had multiple affairs during her 11-month marriage to Noa, including one with salsa-singer Marc Anthony, her third and current husband.

The ruling affirmed an earlier arbitrator's decision in the case, which included awarding Lopez a permanent injunction barring her ex-spouse, Ojani Noa, from disclosing information about their relationship for personal gain.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Solner denied Noa's request for a postponement.

Anthony and Lopez, 38, married in June 2004, just days after his divorce from a Puerto Rican model and beauty queen, and five months after Lopez broke off her highly publicized engagement to actor Ben Affleck.

Noa's plans for a book were revealed in a January 2006 article in the New York Post describing the proposed book as a 12-chapter "tell-all manuscript" under the title: "The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Thriller."

Lopez sued Noa in June of that year to block publication of the book, claiming it violated the terms of a nondisclosure, "non-disparagement" agreement the couple had reached in the settlement of an unrelated earlier dispute.

Before leaving the courtroom on Wednesday, Noa, who represented himself at the proceedings, turned to Lopez's lawyer and said, "I guess you need the money, huh?"

Noa, 31, a restaurant and nightclub manager, had offered not to publish the book if Lopez paid him $US5 million, according to Lopez's suit.

Lopez divorced Noa in 1998. She married her second husband, dancer Chris Judd, in September 2001 and filed for divorce from him the following July.

Lopez and Anthony star opposite one another in a movie about salsa legend Hector Lavoe, "El Cantante," which opened in U.S. cities this summer.

They also are set to launch a joint concert tour this fall in the North America.

Cheeky Britney hits the junk food and flashes her bottom one more time

Singer Britney Spears may have won one battle - having been cleared of complaints of child neglect - but it appears she is in danger of losing another, the battle of the bulge as the singer flashed her ample bottom one more time during a junk food binge following another night out.

The singer, who has struggled to regain her once lithe figure following the birth of her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston, seems to have swopped her heavy partying lifestyle for a night of snacking as she stopped at an off-licence, and later fast-food chain Taco Bell for something to eat.

But the threat of her expanding waistline doesn't seem to have affected the star's seemingly unhealthy appetite for her favourite take-away foods.

And unfortunately Britney's unabashed love of junk food looks as if it's taken its toll on the star's body, as she appeared puffy-faced and was pictured in a dress that failed miserably to cover her ample bottom.

Britney's new look is in stark contrast to the fitter, healthier look she showcased earlier this year as she embarked on her comeback following her split from ex-husband Federline.

Her daily dance workouts appear to have dwindled as she spends her nights out clubbing with friends including magician Criss Angel, who is reported to be working with Spears on her performance for Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards show.

Britney is set to perform two tracks, the forthcoming single "Gimme More" and a song called "Cry."

Spears dancer Ruben Dario confirmed Angel has been helping Britney with her performance, which is said to involve a hall of mirrors.

Britney was cleared of complaints to child welfare authorities after being investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services following an unspecified complaint relating to sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

At the latest hearing in the custody battle between her and ex-husband, Kevin Federline, her lawyer, Laura Wasser, said: "It does not appear the county will pursue any action at this time."

Wasser said she does not know who complained, but added: "But I am trying to find out."

Oscar winner Halle Berry is pregnant with her first baby at 41, she confirmed last night.

Referring to her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 32, she said: "Yes, I am three months pregnant! Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I've waited a long time for this moment in life.

She added: "Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!"

The has already given a lot of thought to parenthood, telling InStyle magazine earlier this year: "I want my kids to realize it's only through hard work that any success or real joy comes.

"It's not about money, it's the intangible rewards – having integrity and doing what you say you're going to do."

The baby is due on Valentine's Day. The magazine also reports that Berry will be carefully monitored during the pregnancy, not only because of her age but also because she is a diabetic.

She reportedly is being treated by a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies.

The X-Men and Perfect Stranger beauty, who has been dating model Gabriel Aubrey since 2005, was preparing to headline Tulia, a movie about a drug and racial profiling scandal in Tulia, Texas.

However, due to the 41-year-old actress's pregnancy, the film will not start shooting next month as planned.

The film, which was to be directed by John Singleton and co-star Berry's Monster's Ball love interest, Billy Bob Thornton, has not been shelved entirely and producers may decide to pick it up at a later date.

Berry has been married twice, to baseball player David Justice and musician Eric Benet, and says she has no plans to wed again.
